Autumn is officially upon as, and if I dare say it, as a wedding cake designer my favourite season (after Spring) to create nuptial confections. A symbol of sweetness, celebration, and shared joy, wedding cakes have evolved over the years, reflecting changing tastes, styles, and trends. So, though we are already well ensconced, what can we expect to see gracing the tables of matrimonial celebrations in 2024?

To paraphrase the famous French Queen... "let them decorate cake". Cake decorating, much like fashion, is an art form – a delicate dance between creativity and technique. For years, it was my secret obsession, my guilty pleasure tucked away in the confines of my kitchen. But as I perfected my piping skills and mastered the art of macarons (among other bakes), I began to wonder if there was more to this sweet obsession than meets the eye.
